GREETINGS FROM THE CLIMATE ACTION RANGERS

Climate change is affecting every country on every continent. It is disrupting national economies and affecting lives, communities and countries today and even more tomorrow.

People are experiencing the significant impacts of climate change, which include changing weather patterns, rising sea level, and more extreme weather conditions. The greenhouse gas emissions from human activities are resulting into climate change and continuing to rise. Without action, the world’s average surface temperature is going to rise over the 21st century and is likely to cross 3 degrees Celsius this century. The living beings are and will be affected the most.

To address climate change, some of the countries adopted the Paris Agreement at the COP21 in Paris on 12 December 2015. In the agreement, all countries agreed to work to limit global temperature rise to below 2 degrees Celsius and strive for 1.5 degrees Celsius.

Implementation of the Paris Agreement across the globe is essential for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is time for the stakeholders of the planet to come together and provide a roadmap for climate actions that will reduce emissions and build climate resilience.

We are a team of students from Blue Bells Public School, Gurugram (India). We are working on an ICT Seagulls Project-19 on the topic - PARIS AGREEMENT AND SOLUTIONS FOR THE CLIMATE PROBLEM OF THE WORLD for which we conducted a survey to understand the opinion of the stake holders and circumstances prevailing on the issue in the world, spread awareness and give solutions for the climate change.
